Athena is launched on Estes standard rocket motors and can reach heights of 1,100 feet before being recovered by its 30.5cm, brightly coloured, fully assembled parachute.

Athena requires a launch system; (launch controller and launch pad), rocket motors, igniters and recovery wadding to operate.
