In 2022 Axial introduced the SCX10 III Base Camp 4WD RTR and gave cost-conscious crawling fans the chance to enjoy its performance and realism. Now comes a new way to experience SCX10-based adventure - the SCX10 III Base Camp Builder's Kit.
Kit building is a hobby perfectly suited for Axial enthusiasts, many of whom are passionate about tinkering with and modifying their rigs. There's no better starting point for your adventure build than the Base Camp Kit. It's a classic crawling platform that carries a wealth of proven Axial quality and innovation.
Base Camp Kit advantages go well beyond the satisfaction of putting together your own rig. The assembly process makes you an expert on its engineering and a pro at maintenance and repairs. You're also able to express your individuality by choosing a body style you like and finishing it however you wish. SCX10 III Steel C-Channel Chassis
The Base Camp Kit's strong, realistic SCX10 III steel C-channel chassis reduces frame flexing and increases the precision of suspension movement. It also adjusts to accommodate a wide variety of body styles (optional links req.).
AR45 Standard Axels
The kit includes Standard AR45 straight axles that mirror what's found under most full-size off-road vehicles. The LCXU transmission design also makes it easy to switch from standard axles to portals if desired.
Optimised Suspension
The suspension features 6mm stainless steel links and all-metal pivot balls for off-road durability. The tunable oil-filled shocks have aluminium threaded bodies and a single coilover spring.
LCXU Dig Transmission
The kit's LCXU transmission can be externally locked in standard 4WD, but also has an optional, servo-actuated dig feature for improved turning and control.
Metal Panhard Mountn
Normally considered an upgrade, the metal panhard mount is included in the SCX10 III Base Camp Builder's Kit as a standard part.
