Aviation history produced few designs as unique and recognizable as the Gee Bee R-2, yet RC modelers rarely get the chance to fly one. The E-flite Gee Bee R-2 1.0m is a conveniently sized replica that offers incredible scale detail, modern conveniences, features, and technologies to deliver a truly unmatched flying experience! It's capable of fast and smooth flying at speeds of up to 100 MPH in a dive, along with a variety of aerobatics, and has unexpectedly stable slow-speed handling that makes it easier and more enjoyable for intermediate to experienced pilots to fly.
It features an authentic outline and an abundance of scale details, including moulded-in panel lines, a simulated radial engine, flying wires, and a pilot figure. Functional features include shock-absorbing landing gear and wheels specifically designed to make it easier to land, along with a steerable tailwheel. The one-piece wing includes hands-free connections, yet the Gee Bee 1.0m is sized to be easy to store and transport without disassembly. BNF Basic - Skill Level 2
Skill Level 2 aircraft, like this one, are suitable for RC pilots who already have some experience and the skills to assemble, set up, and fly similar class models. You should have the experience and skills necessary to successfully fly models like the E-flite T-28 Trojan 1.1m, Sportix 1.1m, Commander mPd 1.4m, or other similar class models before attempting to fly the Gee Bee R-2 1.0m BNF Basic version.
PNP - Skill Level 3
This PNP version requires more experience and skills to assemble and fly than the BNF Basic version because you will need to install a receiver that does not already include properly tuned AS3X+ and SAFE Select technologies. You should have the experience and skills necessary to assemble and successfully fly models like the E-flite T-28 Trojan 1.1m, Sportix 1.1m, Commander mPd 1.4m, or other similar class models before attempting to fly the Gee Bee R-2 1.0m PNP version.

The Gee Bee R-2 1.0m features an exclusive Spektrum Avian Smart Lite ESC, which delivers real-time telemetry data directly to your transmitter. This advanced ESC monitors motor RPM, current, battery voltage, and more while you fly. The telemetry works with both Smart and non-Smart batteries through compatible receivers, such as the AR631+ and Spektrum AirWare equipped transmitters (including the DX6e, DX8e, DX6 G2/3, DX8 G2, DX9, NX6-20, iX12-20, and others).
Plug-N-Play Completion Level
The Plug-N-Play (PNP) version comes out of the box with a factory-installed power system and servos, ready to connect to a compatible receiver of your choice (sold separately), along with the transmitter and battery you provide (also sold separately). Simply install the receiver, finish any final assembly, and fly!
