Estes' Mongoose is the perfect first time building and flying experience for the newcomer who wants to try their hand at a two stage rocket, where the motors are stacked (or staged) one on top of the other. The lower, or first stage, contains a booster motor that kicks the Mongoose off the launch pad, then the upper, or second stage, uses a standard rocket motor for extreme flight altitude.

The action is always hot when flying a staged rocket and Mongoose can soar to an astonishing height of 1,800 feet and will descend back to earth on its shiny 46cm preassembled parachute, before being readied for another launch.

Mongoose requires a launch system; (launch controller and launch pad), rocket motors, igniters and recovery wadding to operate.
